WORK SETTING COMFORT: A DISCUSSION OF GLARE CONTROL IN OFFICE DESIGN
A modern focus on designing for occupant comfort and well-being is ever-present and constantly evolving. Collectively, the design community - with the feedback of their clients - and architectural manufacturers are developing techniques and technologies to best accommodate these needs. The workplace environment is a crucial setting for these directives and modern standards in design are calling for adherence. Lighting quality as it relates to glare is a critical aspect to to comfort and well-being. In order to most effectively design with glare in mind, it's important to both: 1) Understand the sources of glare within a space. 2) Develop knowledge of mitigation solutions and how to best make informed product selections.
