Interior Designer/Project Manager (Full Time)

CWS is looking to add a full-time Interior Designer/Project Manager to our growing team of design professionals. The successful candidate requires excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be a well-rounded designer in all facets of developing, managing, and documenting interior design projects both internal and external to the firm. This position is based at our Scarborough, ME office with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

Successful Candidates Must Have:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

  • 6-10 years of commercial/housing experience

  • Working towards or NCIDQ Certified and Maine Certified Interior Designer

  • Experience in all phases of a project including programming, schematic design, presentation materials, preparation of design and construction documents, renderings, and construction administration.

  • Competency in interior design drawings and specifications, industry standards, application of building codes, finish material selections

  • Ability to thrive in an open office environment and remotely as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with design technology including Revit and AutoCAD

  • Ability to prepare thoughtful and strategic solutions for Projects

  • Ability to effectively participate as a member of a project team

  • Ability to effectively work independently on a project

  • Experience in preparing Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FFE) packages

  • Ability to effectively research products and communicate with representatives

  • Strong visualization and presentation graphics from concept design to delivery of construction documents

  • Knowledge of rendering design technology a plus but not required

 

Professional education is required. Candidates with proficiency in designing corporate, government and multi-family housing will be considered a priority over other candidates. Interior Designer

Gawron Turgeon Architects, P.C. a multifaceted architectural, interior design and landscape architecture firm and a leader in senior living design is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team.

We are currently seeking a full-time Interior Designer, with 6 years of experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, to join our creative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client relations

  • Ability to manage projects

  • Help develop and produce detailed design concepts

  • Prepare construction documents

  • Develop, prepare and coordinate presentation materials with project team members

  • Prepare project specifications

  • Prepare FF & E packages

Requirements:

  • 6 years of professional experience in design of commercial interiors projects, senior living experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design.

  • Professional with good collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up and other 3D computer design programs.

  • Commercial architectural knowledge is helpful.

INTERIOR DESIGNER

 

Knickerbocker Group is seeking an Interior Designer to assist senior designers with the development of design solutions including architectural concepts for interior projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for working in high-end residential interior design, enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, and has experience using Revit to produce design project documents.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • developing design plans and product specifications for assigned projects.

  • meeting with vendors to select samples and materials for client approval.

  • assisting with the selecting and installation of interior furnishings and window treatments.

  • attending client meetings and preparing notes for distribution to design team and clients.

  • managing and tracking orders to ensure they arrive in a timely fashion, in consultation with our procurement specialists.

  • assisting with the creation of comprehensive decor estimates, invoices, and client proposals for interior furnishings, window treatments, and accessories, in consultation with the senior designers and the procurement specialists.

  • meeting with new potential clients and walk-ins.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • has advanced project management skills.

  • demonstrates strong organization and time management skills.

  • has strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • interacts harmoniously and effectively with others.

  • provides excellent customer service at all times.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Interior Design or Architecture

  • 3 or more years of experience in residential interior design

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management

  • Technical proficiency requirements:

    • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint

    • Adobe Photoshop

    • Revit

    • AutoCAD

    • Experience with Design Manager preferred
